I, Albert Theo Fritz, Provincial Minister of Community Safety in the Western Cape, in terms of section 26(3) of the Western Cape Community Safety Act, 2013 (Act 3 of 2013) (“the Act”), invite all interested parties to submit the names of persons who in their opinion are fit and proper persons to be appointed as members of the Western Cape Provincial Safety Advisory Committee (“the Committee”), for purposes of filling two vacancies on the Committee.

The Investment Readiness Programme seeks to capacitate early stage, high growth SMEs through a training programme called, Find, Make, Grow and Realise (FMGR) in partnership with Knife Capital. The 2-day Course will take place at UCT GSB in Cape Town on 11-12 November 2014.

 

Driven by the goal to deliver sustainable and quality housing to our constituents, we have developed a map. This road map is the strategy that sets out the manner in which projects and programmes that are needed will be delivered in fulfilling Government's promise of creating "a home for all in the Western Cape".

The strategy is called Isidima the Western Cape Sustainable Human Settlement Strategy (WCSHSS). Isidima, when translated from isiXhosa refers to "enabling dignified communities".

Dr Nomafrench Mbombo, Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport will be launching the isiShweshwe travelling exhibition on Thursday, 25 September 2014 at the Lwandle Museum in the Western Cape as part of the 2014 Heritage Month celebrations.

The exhibition consists of 10 panels and 12 dolls dressed in isiShweshwe fabric 9Various designs).  It traces the history of isiShweshwe, and its indigo print cloth predecessors, and celebrates the richness of the ways that it is used in contemporary dress in South Africa.
