WESTERN CAPE INTERNATIONAL TOURIST GUIDES DAY 21 FEBRUARY 2020

 

The Tourist Guide plays a big part of the tourism experience. Not only because of the story they tell, but due to the human interaction and memorable experiences they create for tourist.  Tourist Guides provides assistance, information on cultural, historical, natural, adventurous and contemporary heritage to people on organized tours and individual clients at educational establishments, religious and historical sites, museums, and at venues of other significant interest in the Western Cape Province.

It is important to note that Tourist Guides are legally required to register with the tourist guide registration office ensure that tourists to our province have a positive experience while they're on holiday in the Western Cape. Visitor’s safety is imperative at any destination and travelling with a registered tourist guide will not only ensure their well-being, but also give them the best experience possible.

International Tourist Guide Day is held on 21 February each year. Western Cape celebrate Tourist guides for taking pride within the province.  They are committed to meaningful contribution of the International Tourist Guide Day to increased, the number of tourists visits to the province.
