Tomorrow, Friday 14 July 2023, Western Cape Minister of Mobility, Ricardo Mackenzie, will attend the very first Scholar Transport Open Day at the Westridge Civic Centre in Mitchells Plain.
The purpose of the event is to showcase the provincial government's commitment to ensuring the safety of scholars while on our roads. The Western Cape Mobility Department will use the opportunity to present scholar transport services available to transport operators and train them on how to use the online portal to apply for operating licences.
Minister Mackenzie will be joined by officials from the Western Cape Education Department, City of Cape Town and various stakeholders who will present safer transport opportunities to scholar transport drivers at the event.
