WESTERN CAPE DIGITAL SKILLS SHARED AGENDA FOR ACTION - "As Is" Report: The Western Cape Digital Skills Shared Agenda for Action project has been conceptualised with the main objective of supporting the attainment of the Western Cape Government's (WCG) vision of positioning the province as a leading digital hub in the global economy by 2030. The "AS Is" report summarises the results of a macro-level study of the currecnt and projected demand-and-supply interaction between ICT skills supply and selected growth areas/sectors in response to the accelerating technological advances.
WESTERN CAPE DIGITAL SKILLS SHARED AGENDA FOR ACTION
The Western Cape Digital Skills Shared Agenda for Action project has been conceptualised with the main objective of supporting the attainment of the Western Cape Government's (WCG) vision of positioning the province as a leading digital hub in the global economy by 2030. While the "As-Is" report provided a descriptive overview of the current impact of technological advances on skills requirements and digital skills demand-and supply patterns, the "To Be" report focuses on the future digital skills requirements to achieve the objective of positioning the Western Cape as a leading global digital economy hub, including “forecasting” what digital skills are likely to be needed for a “global digital hub” within the context of the likely impact of the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR).

Sector Digital Disruption Impact Assessment: the aim of this report is to inform the participants in the Western Cape economy (citizens, business and government) of the potential changes that might effect their organisations and operations as a result of digital disruption and then to provide guidance on how best to respond to such changes to enable better planning and adaptation. Various sectors within the Western Cape economy are outlined in terms of the digital trends that are being affected and disrupted. The analysis is outlined with a focus on the Western Cape context.
