Police Officer Killed While Protecting our Communities

It is with anger and immense sadness that I have heard of the killing of another one of this province’s police officers.

Constable Rozelle Koopman was fatally shot while pursuing the armed robbers of a residential property near the Kraaifontein area late yesterday afternoon.

I condemn this heinous act and would like to send my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Constable Koopman and to all the police officers in this province. We value the work that you do and understand that every day that you serve the people of this province you are putting your life on the line to protect others.
