Department of Infrastructure's Community Matters radio show and podcast

The Department of Infrastructure (DOI) features Provincial Minister of Infrastructure Tertuis Simmers in the 10th episode of the Community Matters radio show on 3 February 2026 on various Western Cape community radio stations.

The show is also livestreamed online.

In episode 10, Minister Simmers unpacks the Masakh’iSizwe Bursary Programme, which opens doors to careers in the built environment for young people across the Western Cape. The podcast explores fields such as engineering, architecture, planning, construction management, and quantity surveying, and how these careers help create safe, inclusive communities.
