Department of Infrastructure's Community Matters radio show and podcast

The Department of Infrastructure (DOI) featured Provincial Minister of Infrastructure Tertuis Simmers in the eighth episode of the Community Matters radio show on 2 December 2025 on various Western Cape community radio stations.

The show was also be livestreamed online.

In this episode, Minister Simmers unpacked the 14th annual Property Efficiency Report, which tracks how our buildings perform in energy and water use, maintenance, and space efficiency. This year, we achieved a 9% reduction in energy consumption, with many facilities now outperforming private sector benchmarks.

The Department of Infrastructure (DOI) piloted the Community Matters radio show  on various community radio stations in the Western Cape on 20 May 2025.
