Notice of roadworks on the R27 West Coast Road

Roadworks will be taking place on the southbound (citybound) carriageway of the R27 West Coast Road between 10:00 and 17:00 on Thursday 1 December 2016. Road markings and road studs will be installed between:

• Dolphin Beach (Marine Dr) and Sunset Beach (Bay Beach Blvd), and
• Sandown Road and Link Road intersections.

Only one lane will be in operation between 10:00 and 17:00 on this date. Please note that delays are expected. Motorists are encouraged to make use of alternative routes where possible.

Both lanes will be open during the morning peak (06:00 to 10:00) on this date.

The safety and convenience of the travelling public are of utmost importance and every effort will be made to ensure that all temporary road signs, cones, flag operators and speed controls are maintained and are effective, and that courtesy is extended to the travelling public at all times.

The public is requested to be vigilant and exercise caution when using this road, especially at night.
