New Cape Town Museum

31 August 2015

As Heritage Month begins, the brand new Cape Town Museum in Adderley Street will be launched by the Western Cape departments of Cultural Affairs and Sport, and Transport and Public Works.

The Museum is appropriately housed in the Old Standard Bank Building, a heritage building known to many as the Queen of Adderley Street. The Cape Town Museum is a new generation institution that will provide residents of the city and visitors from other countries with many innovative ways of interacting with its displays. In addition, the Museum will promote transformation and social inclusion through being highly representative of the diverse heritage of the people of the Mother City.
