Tomorrow, Thursday 28th June 2018, Minister Debbie Schäfer will visit the Grade 12 Winter Schools Holiday Programme at Uxolo, Sizimesele and Harry Gwala High Schools in Khayelitsha.
At these schools, Grade 12 learners within the Khayelitsha area are attending an intensive revision programme ahead of the 2018 NSC examinations.
This winter, the WCED is running Winter Schools across the province to ensure that our Grade 12 learners are well prepared for the upcoming examinations.
Providing curriculum support to our Grade 12 learners is always a priority, and the Grade 12 'winter schools' programme is just one of the many interventions by the WCED to help support and assist our Grade 12 learners.
We are fast approaching the NSC examinations and after 12 years of schooling, the next five months are the most critical in a learner's school career.
Minister Schäfer will be visiting the Grade 12 programme at the three schools to encourage the learners to stay focused and put in the hard work that is required to succeed in the NSC.
All media are invited and welcome to attend.
