Media Alert: Groote Schuur Hospital Client Satisfaction Survey
Groote Schuur Hospital will be having a client satisfaction survey from 23 March 2010 till 29 March 2010.
Domains looked at in the survey include hygiene, staff attitudes, reliability of staff, access and general satisfaction of services at the hospital. Only patients who attend the outpatients, emergency / trauma units or have spent a minimum of one night at the hospital during this period can participate in the survey.
Volunteers will request that patients complete the survey forms. These volunteers will be stationed at the entrances as well as the wards and can be identified by a survey identification document (ID) tag. The survey forms will take about 5 minutes to complete. The hospital aims to complete a minimum of 3 000 forms during this survey.
We are requesting that patients please participate in the survey. We have had the survey since 2003 and as a result of the survey findings the hospital could make some positive changes. This includes the starting of the Satisfactory Environment At Toilets (SEAT) project for cleaner toilets, improving hygiene at the hospital and embarking on seminars to improve staff attitudes towards patients.
