Launch of Childsafe’s Walk This Way Child Pedestrian Safety Project

Donald Grant, Minister of Transport and Public Works will attend the launch of the Walk This Way South Africa project launch at the Masonwabe Primary School in Delft on 4 May 2015. The ChildSafe project focused on child pedestrian safety will be launched during the Third UN Global Road Safety Week.

Pedestrian deaths remain the leading class of fatalities in the Western Cape, with children bearing the brunt of most of this scourge. The project is targeted at improving safety around five identified schools where statistics show that incidents have occurred.
