DCAS Staff Play Pivotal Role in Monitoring Gender Transformation in Workplace

31 August 2016

In the process of monitoring women’s empowerment and gender equality in the public service, the Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA) declared a Public Service Women in Management Week (PSWMW) from 22 to 31 August 2016.

During this week, Head of Department Brent Walters convened and chaired a meeting with all female staff at senior management level to review the progress as regards gender transformation within the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS). At this meeting and in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Women’s March, the executive management team reiterated their commitment to the department’s gender transformation policies by signing a pledge to this effect.

DCAS remains committed valuing women and men’s contributions in the workplace equitably and strives to create an inclusive and flexible work environment and culture.
