Three Days of the Best Edu-Tainment - Free at the CTICC

1 August 2005
The Learning & Careers Expo (2-4 August) is sure to be a lot more fun than you might imagine!

Over 100 exhibitors at the Expo have done whatever they can to make their stands as interactive and useful as possible. The Tygerberg Zoo gets to do its bit with snakes and one of its newest inhabitants - a three-month-old lion cub - at the Cape Nature Conservation, Department of Environmental Affairs & Development Planning and Tygerberg Zoo stand.

Weave your way past robots strutting around the MTN ScienCentre stand to meet sporting celebrities at the Sport & Culture stand; or learn how to take a fall properly at the Dimensional Stunt School demonstration.

If you're more of a talker than a doer, don't miss the Calling the Cape stand, where every day from 2.30 their call centre tutor will take would-be call-centre workers through a call-simulator and evaluate your Customer Services Skills. And at the Call Connexions and BYC Solutions stand you would win a job or a training course - a not-to-be missed opportunity.

There's an exciting discussion forum on education, free screenings of excellent South African movies such as Story of an African Farm, The Flyer and Max 'n Mona. There's dance, marimba, rap, story-telling!

Drop a book off at The Faculty of Hiphop stand and give your support to this organisation that is starting up a library for young people in Pollsmoor Prison to assist them to break the cycle of crime. You could win a month of co-hosting the popular DJ Eazy's show on UCT Radio; or a bursary of R2 500 for a DJ course.

We could go on and on, but come and find out for yourself why the Learning Cape Festival is in its fourth successful year and how it can help you make a success of yourself too.

See you at the Expo.
