A R47 million project to build the new Woodlands Primary School in Heideveld is progressing well. The Department of Transport and Public Works started this project in April 2018 and is expected to be completed in March 2020, if everything goes according to plan. The school will provide accommodation for 930 learners.
Learners are currently housed in temporary classrooms. During Phase 1, the classrooms and administrative building are being built. External works, landscaping and the school hall will be undertaken in Phase 2.
