Media Alert: Sport Funding and Recognition Event in Cape Town

On Wednesday, 23 April 2014, the Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport Dr Ivan Meyer will honour and recognise sport councils, municipalities and sport achievers at a funding and recognition ceremony in Cape Town.

Dr Meyer is expected to hand over a cheque to the Western Cape Sport Confederation and various municipalities. He will also acknowledge the athletes who excelled at the recent Nedbank Championships for the Physically Disabled held in Stellenbosch and Ajax Cape Town, winners of the Metropolitan U19 Premier Cup.
