Launch of Cape Town Green Week

The City of Cape Town will join the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Finance Initiative and a group of partner organisations to announce the forthcoming "Cape Town Green Week" 19-23 October, 2009. For one week Cape Town will become the 'Greenest Business City on Earth' as a cluster of national and international 'green' meetings and launches will take place.

Senior representatives from the following partner organisations will be present at the media conference tomorrow:

• The City of Cape Town
• United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative The Cape Town Partnership
• Banking Association of South Africa (BASA)
• Africa Investor (Ai)
• Green Building Council South Africa (GBCSA)
• Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC)
