EPWP Heritage Guides Introduce Learners To Dairy Products

8 November 2016

From 12 to 21 October 2016, museum educator Brenda Matsau and the heritage guides, trained through the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP), gave dairy demonstrations to learners from 13 different local schools at the Worcester Museum.

This popular educational program affords Grade 4 to 7 learners the opportunity to milk a cow, separate raw milk and make butter and cottage cheese. The learners are very proud of what they are able to make themselves.

Let us continue to use programmes such as these to educate the youth, allow them to acquire knowledge about their cultural heritage and preserving it so that it can be conveyed to future generations. BETTER TOGETHER.
