Countess of Wessex to Visit Chrysalis Academy

Western Cape Minister of Social Development, Albert Fritz, will be welcoming Her Royal Highness, the Countess of Wessex, to the Chrysalis Academy.

Their Royal Highnesses, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, are on a working visit to South Africa to attend the 30th anniversary celebrations of The President’s Award for Youth Empowerment Trust.

The Chrysalis Academy is the Western Cape Government’s flagship youth development programme and the Countess will see first-hand how the programme works and what phenomenal results have been achieved in transforming the lives of the students.

Chrysalis Academy graduates, some of whom have today received Gold Awards at the official ceremony in Cape Town, will also be sharing their personal journeys and achievements.

There will be photograph and interview opportunities.
