City to Launch Anti-Corruption Hotline

On Monday, 4 December 2006 Mayor Helen Zille and City Manager Achmat Ebrahim will launch the City of Cape Town's anti-corruption hotline at a media conference.

With the approach of World Anti-Corruption Day next week, the Mayor will be discussing the details of several actual examples of the kind of corruption that City employees, businesses, and the general public will have the opportunity to expose by using the hotline.

Business leaders and members of the legal fraternity will also be invited to attend the conference.

A display of materials for the City's anti-corruption public awareness campaign, which is due to start in January 2007, can also be viewed at the media conference.
