Along with the extended Mandela family, the nation surely lost an influential man, a man of honour and success. We all suffered a terrible loss. With sadness we have to continue our lives knowing what you, Tata Madiba, has done for us. You laid the foundation on which we need to continue to build the nation and you set the example that each of us should follow. Madiba your legacy will live on forever!!!

When I heard of your passing, I felt a host of emotions; sadness, regret, gratefulness and a sense of peace. Sad that we would no longer have a man of your stature there reminding us of the bigger goal and aspiring for compassion, forgiveness, tolerance and acceptance. Regret that I had not done more while you were alive, grateful for the path you paved for us as a nation and a sense of peace knowing that many people like myself would try to honour your legacy; ensuring equality for all humanity. Even though I am still deeply saddened by your passing and wish we could have you for a bit longer, I know it is your time to rest, to have peace free from pain and to be with God. Philippians 3:20-21 - But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. Hamba kakuhle Tata

Thank you Madiba for teaching me how to be a better and proud South African. Thank you also for giving us all the gift of forgiveness. You will live in our hearts forever.

"The Baobab tree has fallen" Comrade Nelson Mandela, father of the South African democratic nation is no more. Namibia as an immediate neighbour with a close and special relationship with South Africa is deeply touched by this event. We are mourning the death of comrade Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. We appreciate what Comrade Mandela has done for the Southern African Region, Africa and the whole World. Let us keep his legacy alive for ever.
