When I heard of your passing, I felt a host of emotions; sadness, regret, gratefulness and a sense of peace. Sad that we would no longer have a man of your stature there reminding us of the bigger goal and aspiring for compassion, forgiveness, tolerance and acceptance. Regret that I had not done more while you were alive, grateful for the path you paved for us as a nation and a sense of peace knowing that many people like myself would try to honour your legacy; ensuring equality for all humanity. Even though I am still deeply saddened by your passing and wish we could have you for a bit longer, I know it is your time to rest, to have peace free from pain and to be with God. Philippians 3:20-21 - But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
