Media Alert: Min Marais promotes Sport Development in Drakenstein and Robertson

MEDIA ALERT: MINISTER MARAIS TO PROMOTE SPORT DEVELOPMENT IN DRAKENSTEIN AND ROBERTSON

Tomorrow, 10 November 2017, Minister Anroux Marais will honour the sporting achievements of the incarcerated at the Drakenstein Correctional Centre as they celebrate their annual sports awards.

Thereafter, Minister Marais will officially handover a cricket set to the Robertson Cricket Club. The handover follows a request for assistance from the club’s executive to increase participation in the code in the Langeberg Municipality.

Minister Marais continues to prioritise mass participation, skills development and creating an enabling environment in which sport is used as a vehicle to increase wellness and safety to tackle social ills in our vulnerable communities.
