Media Alert: EMS Rescuers Respond to Mountain Call on Lions Head
The Western Cape Health: Emergency Medical Services completed a mountain rescue mission earlier today:
09:00 – Lions Head, hiking path – EMS Rescuers medically assessed and treated one adult female who suffered from mild dehydration. Apparently the patient, an American Foreigner was hiking up the path with two other friends, when she began to feel a bit faint and dizzy. SanPark Rangers went to assist the woman and walked her down to the area more commonly used as a hang glider launching pad. She was then driven down to the EMS Rescue Paramedic who assessed her and treated her for dehydration on the scene. She did not require further medical assistance.
