Mosaics Skills from Trainer to Trainer

The Train the Trainer Programme of the DCAS Arts and Culture team, which took place from 4 to 6 September, saw crafters who had received training in mosaics transferring these skills to learners at Uitkyk Primary School in Lutzville and Vergenoeg Primary School in Vredendal. The learners put what they had learned to good use by making mosaics of their school emblems. Last year, similar courses were held in Plettenberg Bay and the Matzikama municipality.

On 5 October, the Train the Trainer Programme will be hosted at Arts Week in Paternoster with a focus on public artwork. Arts on the Coast will be a culmination of Arts Week and conclude with exhibitions, performances, artwork unveiling and storytelling.
