A new reality tv show that highlights how Western Cape Traffic Officers keep us safe 24/7/365 is hitting our small screens.

The Western Cape Highway Patrol show launched Saturday 10 September 2022 on eTV’s eReality and eXposed. The show will be airing on these two tv channels every Saturday until 12 November 2022.

The Western Cape Highway Patrol series follows provincial traffic officers as they perform their duties on our roads, revealing the dangers and difficulties they face as they strive day and night to ensure that Western Cape road users get Safely Home.

Road crashes are one of the most common causes of death, injury and disability in our province. In addition to the burden and pain of lives lost or changed forever, the cost of crashes is a massive drain on the economy of the Western Cape, estimated at around R9,5 billion last year.

The Western Cape Government works tirelessly towards achieving Vision Zero when it comes to our roads, that is, No-one Should Be Killed or Injured on Our Roads.

Our traffic officers are playing an important role in making our communities safe for all who live in the Western Cape. The officers will continue to execute multiple joint integrated operations and visibility strategies throughout the province to ensure the safety of motorists and other road users.

We invite you to get behind the wheel with the everyday heroes who wear our Traffic Law Enforcement officer uniforms, as they patrol the Western Cape's highways on e.tv eReality at 6pm (or eXposed at 7:30pm) on Saturdays and join the conversation using #WesternCapeHighwayPatrol.
