The Small Enterprise Development Agency (seda) is the Department of Trade and Industry's agency for supporting small business in South Africa. It contains information on starting and running your own business, including finance, management, tendering, BEE and more. There is also a collection of useful factsheets to download.
Businesses who would like to learn how to export to international markets, or improve their performance, can find information and training opportunities at the following places: Wesgro Wesgro has an Exporter Development Programme which delivers export courses for selected small businesses in the Western Cape to improve their ability to compete globally. Technology for Women in Business (TWIB) was created under the auspices of the Department of Trade and Industry (dti) in 1998, the Year of Science and Technology, to help advance women in business, with a particular emphasis on the application of science and technology to achieve business growth in women-led enterprises, particularly small, medium and macro enterprises (SMMEs) .
