Western Cape Government Anticipates Improvements in Municipal Governance

Tomorrow, 22 January 2014, the Auditor-General will table the 2012/13 consolidated audit outcomes for the Western Cape’s 30 municipalities.

Western Cape Minister of Finance, Alan Winde and Minister of Local Government, Anton Bredell, anticipate an overall improvement. Working together, a wide range of interventions have been put in place by the province and local administrations, to support better municipal governance.

These interventions were deemed a priority, as better governance results in better service delivery at the coalface.

The Western Cape Government will release the complete audit outcomes at 14:30 tomorrow.
