Traffic Students to Graduate from Gene Louw Traffic College

A total of 35 traffic officers will graduate from the Gene Louw Traffic College in Brackenfell on Thursday, 2 July 2015.

Twenty-nine are from the Western Cape and six from KwaZulu-Natal.

Since August last year, the officers were trained according to the requirements of the Safety and Security Sector Education and Training Authority (SASSETA), Local Government Sector Education and Training Authority (LGSETA), as well as the Road Traffic Management Corporation guidelines on examining vehicles and licences.

The graduates have successfully completed firearm competency training, driver training (including articulated motor vehicle and motorcycle training), first aid training and training in fighting fires.

In addition to their traffic diplomas, the graduates will receive their appointment cards as peace officers.
