Slangrivier residents to receive title deeds

Slangrivier residents are to receive title deeds from Minister Simmers and a planned bricklaying ceremony at the Swellendam Railton site.

On Thursday, 9 November, the provincial Minister of Infrastructure, Tertuis Simmers, will hand over title deeds to the community of Slangrivier. Some of the intended beneficiaries will include two visually impaired elderly residents, who will receive their documents at their homes.

Over the last 4 years, the Department has delivered over 27,000 title deeds showing its commitment to accelerate the delivery of security of tenure.

The Minister will also visit the Swellendam Railton housing project and lay a brick at one of the units under construction. This project is expected to yield 950 housing units.
