Search for three missing Kayamandi siblings continues

3 February 2016

Social workers from the Western Cape Department of Social Development (DSD) are continuing the search for the three toddlers who went missing on Friday.

The matter relates to three foster children who were reported missing by the foster mother from the Safe Care Home they were placed in. It is believed the children may have absconded again, as they had done so earlier in December last year.

Our social workers from Kayamandi are working within the ambits of the Children’s Act of 2005 and in conjunction with the South African Police Services from the Stellenbosch and Mbekweni police stations, to follow all leads. We are appealing to the public, especially in the communities of Mbekweni and the Paarl area to be on the look-out. The three children are;

  • Olwethu Siteleku aged 11 (boy),
  • Anele Siteleku aged 10 (girl),
  • Asanele Siteleku aged 7 (boy).

Anybody with information on the whereabouts of these children can contact DSD social worker, Elsabe Raymond, on 083 485 9431, or Sergeant Marajh on 021 8095114 or 082 379 4869 from SAPS Stellenbosch.
