Oudtshoorn: Forensic report Complete

1 March 2016

The forensic investigation into the Oudtshoorn Municipality has been completed and the forensic report was handed overto the office of the Director General of the Western Cape today.

Anton Bredell, the Minister of Local Government, Environmental Affairs and Development Planning in the Western Cape

says an independent investigation was instituted in 2015 following numerous issues raised by the public and additional issues detected internally following the appointment of an administrator to Oudtshoorn.

“The finalisation of the investigation is another step in the right direction for Oudtshoorn. We expect to take delivery of the final report later this week.

Further announcements on the matter will be made when further details are available,” said Bredell.
