Mitchells Plain Youth Cafe to be launched by Minister Fritz

20 June 2017

Tomorrow, the Western Cape Minister of Social Development, Adv. Albert Fritz, will launch the Mitchell Plain Youth Café. Minister will be joined by our NGO partners, R-Labs, and the City of Cape Town MAYCO Member, Ald. JP Smith.

This new facility is the relocation of the previous Rocklands Youth Café to a more central building in Mitchells Plain town centre. The new location will allow young people from all over Mitchells Plain and surrounding areas to easily access this Youth Café, which is serviced by rail, taxis, buses and the MyCiti.

The Youth Café will offer opportunities for entrepreneurial, leadership and other skills training, and provide internet access for job seekers and entrepreneurs.

The ‘Express Yourself Youth Canvas’ will also be exhibited at the Youth Café, for youth to paint and write on it.

There will be an opportunity for photos and interviews.
