Minister Plato to Conduct Safety Visits and Mandela Day Walk Against Crime

Today, Thursday 17 July 2014, and tomorrow, Friday 18 July 2014, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, Dan Plato, will conduct various safety visits and engagements in Mossel Bay, including a 67 minute walk against crime on Mandela Day.

The visits and engagements in Mossel Bay aim to foster meaningful partnerships with the community as a whole. It will include specific engagements with the local religious fraternity, Community Policing Forum (CPF), the Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) and the youth with regards to safety concerns and youth development projects.

There will be an opportunity for photographs and interviews at each event. Alternatively, please respond with specific interview requests.
