Minister Madikizela to Handover 100 Title Deeds in Delft

13 February 2015

On Monday 16 February 2015, Western Cape Human Settlements Minister Bonginkosi Madikizela will handover 100 title deeds in Delft, on which almost  R3.2 million rand has been spent in subsidies. 29 of the title deeds will be handed over to pensioners and 71 for non-pensioners.

This marks a very important day for the 100 beneficiaries as they get the legal document that ensures they have the full rights of a home owner. With the title deed, the house becomes an asset for the beneficiary and the family in generations to come.

The title deeds transfer and handover is part of the Department strategy to inculcate a sense of ownership and responsibility amongst housing beneficiaries. Through receiving the title deeds, beneficiaries are formally empowered as home owners.

Venue: Delft Civic Hall – opposite the Police station and Day Hospital
Time: 10:00
