Minister Grant to Unveil Child Pedestrian Safety Poster Campaign in Mfuleni

28 October 2014

Donald Grant, Minister of Transport and Public Works will unveil Safely Home’s Child Pedestrian Safety posters at Itsitsa Primary School, Mfuleni on 28 October 2014 as part of the campaign focus for the month of October.

These posters are aimed at raising awareness about the plight of child pedestrians. They have been strategically erected at places in the Metro where children are most vulnerable to being knocked down, as shown by Safely Home’s fatality statistics.

Minister Grant will be joined by Mr FW Ulana, the Principal of Itsitsa Primary School as he unveils these posters that will draw attention to child pedestrians, and the dangers that they face daily on roads in some of the poorest communities.
