Minister Fritz to recognise Hout Bay volunteers for arrests in Ivan Ivanov case

Tomorrow, the Minister of Community Safety, Albert Fritz, will recognise the members of the Hout Bay Community Crime Prevention NPO for arresting the suspects accused of murdering Ukranian tourist Ivan Ivanov. Ivanov was stabbed and killed on Saturday, 27 July 2019, at East Fort outside Chapman’s Peak Drive.

Mr B Brown, Mr JJ De Villiers and Mr J Scholtz will be awarded R9000 (in total) for their brave and swift response. Minister Fritz will further be given a tour of the crime prevention facilities and be briefed on the innovative technologies used to prevent and stop crime.
