Minister De Lille Deploys Social Worker to Macassar Family of Missing Baby

Patricia de Lille, the Western Cape Minister for Social Development yesterday evening deployed a social worker to the Macassar home of a missing seven-month-old baby.

The baby boy disappeared after his mother apparently left him alone with her sister's seven-year-old foster child and went to the container shop nearby.

"The mother apparently reported the child's disappearance immediately," Ms de Lille says.

"Our social worker is investigating and her report will be complete by mid-morning."
