Media Alert: Grabouw Community Health Centre Hosts an Eye-Testing Event for Diabetic Patients

Grabouw Community Health Centre (CHC) will host an eye-testing event for all diabetic patients in the Grabouw Elgin area. The facility plans to screen up to 400 people for diabetic eye disease on Saturday, 22 October 2011. Patients found to have Diabetic Eye Disease will have teleophthalology assessment where specialised Ophthalmic Nurses do eye care testing using state-of-the-art technology. Any patient requiring further treatment will be referred.

This eye-testing event follows a breast awareness campaign event which took place at the same facility on Friday, 21 October 2011.
