#LetsDoThis: Minister Albert Fritz gets the jab

3 June 2021

Today, the Minister of Community Safety, Albert Fritz, is happy to announce that he has received his vaccination shot. He has again appealed to all neighbourhood watches and community policing forums to engage community members on getting registered for the vaccine.

Minister Fritz said, “I don’t want to give away my actual age, but I will say that I am old enough to qualify for the vaccine. I registered via the app and I was very excited when I received my SMS to confirm my appointment to get the jab.”

Minister Fritz tested positive for Covid19 in December last year.

Minister Fritz said, “I am one of the fortunate ones who had relatively mild symptoms when I had Covid last year. Of course, the psychological trauma is there regardless of your physical condition. Even if your symptoms are mild the one day, you don’t know what’s going to happen the next day. It’s not an experience I want to go through again, and so I am very glad that I received the jab today.”

Minister Fritz continued, “I know there are a lot of people with a lot of questions. Ask your questions. You have the right to ask your questions. But please get the answers from the right people. Don’t rely on uncredible sources on social media for your information. I would never take the vaccine if it wasn’t safe. The vaccine is safe!”

Minister Fritz concluded, “I would like to once again call on all neighbourhood watches and community policing forums to please spread the word to our eligible citizens: register for the vaccine! Please speak to them and hear what their concerns are about registering for the vaccine. If they don’t know how to use the app, please help them. If they have questions, please answer the questions in a helpful and honest manner. Let’s get vaccinated. Let’s do this!”
