How Will You Use Your 67 Minutes on 18 July?

11 July 2014
Mandela Day 2014

In keeping with the Western Cape Government’s message of being “Better Together”, several activities are planned to commemorate Nelson Mandela Day across the province. By donating your time, either by volunteering with a charity or helping in your local community, everyone is encouraged to give back in any way possible.

Premier of the Western Cape, Helen Zille will be participating in a “cook-off” at the launch of Western Cape Government’s 110% Green's Food Forward initiative at Spier Wine Farm. She will join teams as they compete to cook tasty meals for the locals in the area, with special guest appearances by MasterChef SA’s Pete Goffe-wood and Africa Melane from 567 Cape Talk.

Nelson Mandela Day is more than a celebration of Madiba’s life and legacy. It is a global movement to honour his life’s work and act to change the world for the better.
