EMS Alert: Rescuers Respond to Heavy Duty Crash on Meiringspoort Pass

The Western Cape Government Health's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is currently on the scene of a crash between Oudtshoorn and Beaufort West.

On the N12 Meiringspoort (between Oudtshoorn and Beaufort West) EMS has dispatched rescue crews and the Air Mercy Service (AMS) Rescue Helicopter to the scene of a crash, where a heavy duty truck has rolled down an embankment shortly after the Meiringspoort pass. The carriage of the truck has landed on its side while the front cab appears to be crushed. Rescuers will now make their way down the embankment to save any persons that may be trapped in the cab.
