Tomorrow, The Western Cape Minister of Social Development, Albert Fritz will launch Child Protection Week with an oversight visit to the DSD local office in Oudtshoorn.
In line with the Department’s ongoing prioritization of services to children and families, the Minister will make a major announcement introducing a new initiative by the Department which will enhance child protection services.
The Minister will be joined by child protection organizations, Child Welfare and ACVV who will make a presentation to the Minister.
After the oversight visit, the Minister will join other social partners (Such as the SAPS) in activities across Oudtshoorn, including field cricket, a drummies display and a puppet show for children in the area.
There will be opportunities for interviews and photographs.
