City to Screen Madiba's National Memorial Service on the Grand Parade

9 December 2013

The City of Cape Town will screen the national memorial service for the late Nelson Mandela on the Grand Parade so that all those in Cape Town can come together to mourn Tata Madiba.

After the screening, choirs and poets will pay homage to the former president, with jazz music by Mike Campbell forming the backdrop to a series of moving tributes.

There will be performances by Afro-Jazz icon Jimmy Dludlu; the ‘feisty diva’ Sarah Theron; and traditional Langa artist Fancy Galada.
