Cabinet Extends its Condolences to the Families of the Murdered SAPS Officers

2 July 2014
The Western Cape Cabinet extends its deepest condolences to the families and friends of the three policemen who were shot and killed in Nyanga and Mfuleni on Monday.

Constable Monwabisi Shadrake Khaka and Sergeant Sibongile Ngcawuzele were killed while on duty in Nyanga, while Sergeant Theophilus Xoliswa Mlindwa was murdered off duty in Mfuleni.

The murder of policemen is one of the most serious crimes that can be committed in any democracy and it is essential that we bring the killers to justice.

Every member of the public must work together to bring these criminals to book.  The murder of a policeman on duty is a crime perpetrated against every law-abiding citizen of this country.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families, friends and the SAPS community during this horrific time.
