It is the result of the discussions held between the project team and various role players in the conservation and development planning fields during the period November 2002 - September 2003. These interviews focused on the Northern, Western and Eastern Cape Provinces. This document is circulated with the intention of stimulating debate and action on incorporating Systematic Conservation Planning into the IDP process.
