Minister to engage Drakenstein Municipality and hand over houses in Vlakkeland
Today, 29 September 2020, Western Cape Minister of Human Settlements, Tertuis Simmers will engage on human settlement matters with the Drakenstein Municipality, as part of his visit to Municipalities within the Cape Winelands District.
Minister Simmers will be accompanied by his senior executive officials and will meet the executive Mayor, along with the MAYCO members and councillors.
On Wednesday, similar engagements will also occur in the Breede Valley and Stellenbosch Municipalities.
Minister Simmers said: “This is another important engagement that I’m looking forward to, as it presents us with the opportunity to clarify the Western Cape Department of Human Settlements’ funding model and processes. This is critical, as we want to ensure all council members and those following on Facebook, have a clear understanding of our processes.”
Due to adherence to the COVID-19 regulations, particularly in keeping with social distancing, the council engagement can be followed on Minister Simmers’ Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/HumanMinWC
I’m also excited about the opportunity to hand over houses at our Vlakkeland project in Paarl.”
ALL MEDIA ARE INVITED TO FOLLOW ON FACEBOOK AND ATTEND HANDOVER.
