Media alert: Western Cape NSC 2022 results
The results of the 2022 National Senior Certificate exams will be announced today and tomorrow.

Thursday, 19 January 2023 – National NSC results announcement
Western Cape Minister of Education, David Maynier, and the WCED’s Superintendent-General, Mr Brent Walters, will attend the national results announcement in Gauteng. A statement will be released following the announcement with some highlights from the provincial results.

Friday, 20 January 2023 – Release of learners’ results at schools
Learners will receive their results at schools from 11h00. Minister Maynier will visit Hector Peterson Secondary School to celebrate with learners. All media are invited to attend, and there will be an opportunity for photographs and interviews. A statement will be released after the visit with the performance of our schools and the eight education districts in our province.

Thursday, 2 February 2023 – Western Cape NSC awards
The Western Cape National Senior Certificate (NSC) 2022 Awards Ceremony will take place at Leeuwenhof, the Premier’s Residence. The event celebrates outstanding achievement by schools and candidates in the 2022 National Senior Certificate examinations.

Time: 09h30 for 10h00
Location: Hof Street, Cape Town
Members of the media (including photographers/camera operators) who wish to attend in person must RSVP in advance, by sending their full names, ID number, media house and contact number to Kerry Mauchline before 5pm on Friday, 27 January 2023. NB: those who have not sent these details in advance will not be admitted to the venue.
