Western Cape Government to launch the Cradle of Human Culture

10 April 2019

Tomorrow, Thursday, 11 April 2019, Premier Helen Zille together with the Provincial Ministers for Cultural Affairs and Sport, Anroux Marais, and Economic Opportunities, Beverley Schäfer, will launch the Cradle of Human Culture alongside the World Travel Market conference in Cape Town.

The Cradle of Human Culture is neither a specific place, nor a destination, but a journey stretching more than 100 000 years ago to learn more about the origin of human culture along archaeological and paleontological heritage routes with three anchor sites in the Western Cape.

Tomorrow’s launch will showcase the routes, logo, promotional material, as well as the Virtual Reality programme to be rolled out at different interpretation centers and existing exhibitions.

There will be an opportunity for interviews and photographs and guests will be encouraged to utilize the Virtual Reality experience after the official programme while refreshments are served.

ALL MEDIA ARE INVITED TO ATTEND.
