INVITATION TO DELFT GBV AMBASSADORS LAUNCH

The media are invited to attend the launch of the Western Cape Department of Social Development’s (WCDSD) Victim Empowerment Programme (VEP) Forum and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Ambassadors programme in Delft. 
The event will take place on Monday, 17 July 2023.
These important initiatives follow an imbizo which took place in Delft in April, in which residents raised their concerns and provided suggestions to address GBV and support victims in the area.
The WCDSD promised to return to Delft with practical solutions in which the community will play an integral role.
Western Cape Minister of Social Development, Sharna Fernandez, will be joined by provincial Minister of Police Oversight and Community Safety Reagen Allen, for the launch.
