Minister to Hand Over Educational Toys and Books in Bloekombos

Western Cape Minister of Social Development, Albert Fritz, will today be handing over a donation of educational toys and books to Kwanda Educare, an ECD (early childhood development) centre in Bloekombos.

The toys and books were collected and donated by the staff of Parmalat, in a bid to reach out to needy communities.

Government partially funds NGOs and their long-term survival and sustainability also depends on further contributions and support from the private sector. The minister welcomes this partnership and wants to encourage the private sector to also consider the smaller independent organisations when planning their corporate social investment initiatives.
