Minister Van Rensburg to Plant Trees During Arbour Week

4 September 2013
The Western Cape Department of Agriculture will be celebrating Arbour week on Thursday, 5 September. Minister Gerrit van Rensburg will launch a tree-planting initiative of the Western Cape Department of Agriculture, where each of the 1 100 staff members of the department will be receiving a tree to plant over the next year.

You are welcome to join minister van Rensburg and his senior management team on Thursday afternoon, 5 September at the Department of Agriculture, Elsenburg, where they will plant the first trees of this green initiative.

Apart from giving each staff member a tree to plant, the department is also driving an initiative where staff members travelling overseas must plant a tree on their return to compensate for their carbon footprint.
